History of Irisan

We know some places or different places with the help of Internet. We also know where they are located but the question is, Do you know the History or the Origin of your locality. The Origin of Irisan is came from the word "IDISAN" which means a wood used to grind to make it fine or we also call "DIKDIKAN" in Ilocano.

Luna, Smith, Bugnay, Alvarez, Maganes, Oseo, Binay-an, Copero, Dunnong, Gabol, Saguid, Menecio, Tacloy, Balaon, Ingosan, Catalan, Tacay, Mang-os and others are the first family names here in Irisan. Denesha And Aneng is the first luna here in Irisan. And Virginia Luna is the Second Punong Barangay and she is a native from Barlig, Mt. Province.

She is a High School graduate but she is a successful businesswoman because she is good in communication. She married Felix Luna after the separation of her past husband Lopez Oseo. Virginia has eleven children. Luna family is a selfish one or "madamot" in tagalog because some Luna marrying their own cousins.

In the other hand, Pucay is known as Cypress now here in Irisan. And korean bought the land near the Station 1 and they developed it where in that is the Coyeesan now.

It is better to know the history of our own locality before the other places. Don't be selfish in terms of your "LAHI". Share what is yours but not all.
